I Love My Life

I want to scream it from rooftops for the world to hear, and softly whisper it in my love's ear - but ultimately I am grateful for the Internet, because I have this blog where I can, eloquently and with humor, express the everyday joys of life; I also have my writing blog where I indulge myself with talking about the wonderful things called language and literature, and of course I have my photo portfolio, where I am able to showcase some of the most successful images I make.  In short, I compartmentalized my life well for my own convenience, and splashed it right out there, for everyone to see.  And let me tell you, my dear friends and neighbors, sharing makes my life even better.

Why, you would ask? Why so happy and contented and excited about such a trivial thing as life?  Why not, I would answer.  There's so much beauty in my life, so much wealth, and love too.  I am exactly where I want to be and I do what I was meant to do.  I am driven, I have things to achieve, and I have dreams to fulfill.  Life is nothing short of smooth, glorious, and full of wonder.*

Plus, I had a great Saturday which put me in a generous mood: I got a bunch of seriously photogenic ranuculus from the Farmers Market this morning, ate fluffy french toasts for breakfast, spent a casual sunny afternoon with a cuddly husband who adores my baby bump, cooked dinner for friends and watched their kid go wild in my living room, celebrated my country's Independence Day, and am currently listening to the relentless meow of Shelby, who really, I mean really wants to go out for a walk.

Not all days are as good as today, but I love my life even on bad days.  I do.

And you should, too.

More ranuculus shots of the portfolio soon!

I just noticed the sticker on the navel orange there.  I hate how supermarkets put stickers on all fruits and veggies.  It's kind of like seeing a branded cow.  Thankfully this doesn't make my breakfast table any less attractive.

* Stephen King said that, in The Stand I believe.
