John Anthony Pfeiffer V was born on April 30 at 1:38 pm.
The boy is perfect: almost 4 kilos and 54 cm long.
Just as I predicted, he has Asian eyes, Irish (red-ish) hair, and fair skin.
Johnny has his Daddy's nose and gentle voice, and his Mommy's lips and cute charm. He's quite the looker.
He latched right away, passed all of his tests, and so far sleeps like a champ.
Such an easy baby!
3 days of slow and exhausting labor and 3 hours of intense pushing wasn't enough to do the job - the dude was just too big and stuck under my pelvic bone. What finally got him out were 5 minutes of an unscheduled Cesarean section, and although neither being overdue, an epidural, screaming in pain, or a major surgery were in our plans, we went with the flow and counted our blessings.
I am a ruin physically, bruised and scarred and punctured, but I feel great. It's the good times now - full rest and peace and quality time for recovery.
I love you, Johnny! Mommy loves you so much!

I love my little Johnny!
